Album effect for family video

I'm sorry if this is a repeat...but I've done some searches and can't find any relevant threads.

I'm doing a family video montage for an x-mas present and I'd like the screen to show a photo album opening up with still pictures on the pages as they turn. To minimize the number of page turns I'll probably have a bunch of photos fade in and out on each page before it flips.

What's the easiest way to do this? How can I "pin" the track with the still pictures on a page and have the perspective remain correct as it flips?

Hope I'm explaining this well enough...

I would recommend building the pages with images in a graphic program like Photoshop.

Then just flip the full finished pages.

ProDad have a series of transitions which can be used as standalone or through Vegas

Cheesy and tacky most of the time, with dodgy cartoons and crap like that.. but they do have an album sequence. the lower thirds and overlays are ok.. nothign to write home abotu though.. lucky for me, these were given coz id never pay for something like this..

Our own John Rofrano (JR) has a tutorial on his website about using Hollywood FX with Vegas (http://www.johnrofrano.com/tutorials/hollywood_fx.htm).

Hollywood FX has a good photo album.

Terry nailed it. What you need is http://www.outerspace-software.com/bixphotobook.htmlBlix's Photo Book[/link].

Thanks for the replies. I was trying to avoid something that's obviously digital. I was hoping to film myself flipping through a blank photo album then superimpose the track on the blank pages.

For that kind of effect you would need 3d tracking. Vegas does not offer this, but After Effects and some other NLEs do.

I found an example of exactly what I'm trying to do. It looks like "BorisRedCornerPinning" will do what I want it to do. Does anyone have experience working with this plugin?

I don't have experience with Red but I have used related products such as Boris FX and Graffiti for a couple of years. I'm not sure how much money you were looking to spend on this effect, but Red is quite an investment (>1000). I think the new FX also does corner pinning. There is also a fairly extensive learning curve.
