Almost embarassed to ask but.....

I've got a project with five tracks of audio and video and with events scattered along some of the tracks.

I want to add an event at the beginning of one of the video tracks, but I can't seem to get all the events selected so I can slide them to the right and keep them in sync. I've tried to group them, but it does not seem to work properly.

Can someone step me through this?

Ok you could try this

first put your cursor on the timeline where you want to put your event.

Open the event in the trimmer, select what you want to put and press a.

Now press CTRL shift F

Does this work ?

Thank you Nat,

That does it perfectly. I was getting a little frustrated, and was hung up on the meaning of ripple as it meant something different in my previous NLE.

There are also three different versions of ripple, selectable from the pull-down arrow on the ripple icon. Maybe changing to a more complete option would have worked for you too.
