Alpha Channel and Flash 8 Question??

I have a simple video of a person talking (30 Seconds).
I would like to render and import this video into the new Macromedia Flash 8 and place over top of a graphic banner and then render the whole thing as a Flash 8 (.swf)

Now the hard part, I only want the person or "mask" of the person
to be on the graphic. Macromedia says it needs the video to be rendered out to an 8 bit alpha channel before I can import JUST
the person and NOT the background. By the way I used a green screen to videotape the person.

What I am trying to create is a corporate banner on a website
with a little talking head on the left side of the banner welcoming visitors to the website and this has to be done in Flash.

Any help is welcomed!

Thanks, Alex

KEY out your background
Render as an Uncompressed .avi w/Alpha channel.
Bring into Flash and do your do.

When you do your key you may want to use something as a background so you can get your key right. Possibly drop in the Graphic you're gonna use so you know what it will look like. Delete your background before rendering so you'll only have your talent Keyed to bring into Flash.

Check out the production company's website I work with in Irvine, CA. (Vision2Media) That's exactly what we did for their site.

THANKS LAMONT!

That did it! I got it to work thanks to you!

I kept rendering to mpeg2, Uncompressed .AVI did the trick.

By the way, I LOVE your work.

Alex
