Whatever gave you the idea that DX plugins go into some common folder ? They each install into wherever their individual installer specifies.

CDA does not support VST. But surely you knew that.

Thanks for the info. I could find no mention of VST in the manual, but since the other Sony software products I license each use VST, I just assumed the manual tech. writer felt it went without saying. I believe that the last several versions of SF use VST. That seems to support my supposition that CDA is no longer in development.

It's development always seems to have been as an afterthought.

Hopefully one day they will address the VST thing, ASIO (not significant but for consistency why not), and the problem of plugin loading (all plugins on events and master are effectively running the whole time, which can make realtime preview dodgy).

They have stated that the SF9 Ozone access thang will migrate to other apps as they are updated. Hope it happens soon to CDA . cos that's where I mainly want to use it !
