always nice to discover something

It's amazing to me after using Vegas every day for 8 years that I can discover something I never tried before.

Basically, I never use the Plugin Manager view because I've always just kind of found it redundant. But what I discovered the other day is not only can I drag plugins from there onto busses and tracks, but I can drag them onto events to open the Apply-Non Realtime Effects dialog. Not only can I drag one plugin, but I can drag several at a time, or a package, to create a chain.

seems simple enough, but it's a lot faster than clicking on the plugin icon on the track, or right clicking on an event to open the apply-non real time effects dialogue.

most of you probably knew this, but hey, I didn't, and I consider myself about as knowledgeable about Vegas as anyone.

HTH.

Whether it's newly discovered or just an "Ooops, I forgot this works this way" or figuring out a new application of a filter...always appreciated.
I'd forgotten about viewing this, because once chains became easy, I too, quit using it regularly.

Plugin Manager is kinda OK. And yes I use it too. BUT .. but . . but . .

There IS an option to create Folders for the different Plugins GREAT! Eh, not for me.

Try this out:

1/- Make a Folder: "My Plug-ins" or "VASST Plug-ins" or "Brown Filters" . . or whatever

2/- Drag some Plugs into these separate folders.

3/- Close Vegas/PC reboot re-fire up Vegas

4/- Now go look for the folder? Is it there? Not for me!
