Are you suggesting Vegas has lost the clock?

Seriously, no.The GenMedia K/F issue seems to have something to do with how the projct is either saved or retrieved from the undo buffer.
The MIDI thing could be related to timing issues, which is quite different to something to do with how the internal clock is working.

All we can really do is speculate, not much to go on.
