Am I Using Frameserver Properly?

I open a project in Vegas 4.0
I run frameserver
I open Sonicfire (the music scoring program)
I choose the Vegas project that is currently running in frameserver
When I run the movie in Sonicfire Pro the video and audio are very poor, especially
the audio.
When I add a musical score to the movie and save it, it doesn't show up in Vegas?

Am I doing something wrong?

Frameserver only works one-way. But video shouldn't look worse in Sonicfire though.

So if it only works one way then it is only used as a reference point. ie to
create path motion for titles, to score music using Sonicfire Pro and then save
just the audio and import the audio into Vegas. Is this correct?
