Amazing new YouTube 360 feature

YouTube now has the ability to show 360 videos. What that means is the video is recorded with a 360 bubble cam, similar to the cams the Google Street View cars have, and you look all around you and up and down as the video plays.

It currently only works on Chrome, and if you have an Android phone (I'm assuming with a fairly recent version of the OS) it works with the phone's accelerometer.

To see what I mean, watch this on your Android phone:

(sorry forgot how to make it a hyperlink in Vegas forums)

Yes, does work on PC with Chrome but you have to use the mouse to move the camera or if you're familiar with the WASD keyboard controls you can use that as well.

But really best "experienced" on a mobile Android phone that you can move around to get the real "feel" of it.

I completely realize that YouTube isn't the "first" at doing this, there have been 360 cameras out for a long time, but when the #1 video sharing site offers it for anyone with an Android device (60% of the mobile market) or Chrome browser (available to practically anybody) without any other special plugins or whatnot to run, it makes this mainstream, which is what is really cool.

Wow, the Grand Canyon 360 was very cool - especially the ride down the Colorado.
