Hi
I had a system Based on a 350 Mhz AMD CPU and 128 Mb PC100 RAM and a Delta 1010 soundcard. I was able to playback 18 tracks off audio and I was able to record 8 tracks(not at the same time). And I was quite happy.
But I was not able to run more than 2 or 3 plugins. So I thought if I upgrade my CPU to 1 Ghz I will be a lucky man. So I bought and Inststalled a new mainboard(recommended by Toms hardwareguide)a 1Ghz AMD CPU and 128 MB PC133 RAM.
And What Happened? My Capacity went down. I am now able to playback 15 tracks with no plugins. everything else works fine.
I guess I could go back on my 350 Mhz but you cant suggest that as a real solution.

My setup is

1Ghz AMD
128 Mb pc133 ram
Delta 1010 soundcard
Windows 98
Vegas Audio 2.0b

Can anyone help me

Thanx

dont know if it's relevant, but video users of AMD chips using motherboards w/the VIA chipset, have had lots of problems, some of them sound. What kind of MB are you using ?
