Does anyone here, have any amd rx 470/480/570/580 or Vega Frontier graphics card that already edit in 4k(with or wtihout FX effect) and get a preview at least 30fps playback?
And without proxy?

Right!

So for those who use these gpus ...
Please tell me if the version of Vegas Pro 14 or 15 (are the ones I use).
What media are you using ... I use:
XAVC QFHD (3840 x 2160) @ 29.97p, 100Mbps.
(But not all use, if you can specify which uses would be grateful) Sony PXW-Z150

What Fx you put, I just want to know with some Fx example: color Corrector (with the above settings) if you have falls below 30fps (preview window), if possible with stabilize (refer if you use).

Hi. Yes i have an AMD Radeon, RX480 8GB version. I can get solid 50fps timeline playback, drops to about 20 fps going through a transition, this is without proxy files. If i create proxy files then there's no lag, even if i'm doing multicam with 2 x 4k cameras and 1 x 1080-50p camera, no lag with proxies.

Good afternoon,
Hi! First of all let me thank you, for this valuable information, because with this I see that even then I will have to see if a Vega 56 or 64 does a better job (because that's still not enough for me.)

Thank you very much, and sorry to have answered only now, get some work done and I did not have time to thank you!

For this discussion to be meaningful we need to know:

  • Which version of Vegas Pro (assuming you are talking about Vegas Pro)
  • What type of media you are playing back
  • What type of FX / How many FX

These factors have a huge influence on playback fps.
