An error occurred while creating the media file

Help!! SFVV.
I did a fresh install of windows xp home integrated with sp1, so I thought everything would work fine. I did fresh OS installion because of WMV beta9. But now I found that when trying to render a wmv with VV 3.0c I get the following error:
"An error occurred while creating the media file (name).wmv. Error 0xc00d0bc2 (message missing)".
That never happened before without sp1...
So, there's a work around or something to solve this?

Thanks you

You can try uninstalling SP-1, if you selected that(archive) option duting install, then reinstall SP1. This worked for me on one system.
Or, just try ANOTHER SP1 install over the other(back to back - no uninstall). I've not had to try that one.
My other system took the SP1 install with no prob's on the first attempt, although it did pop up a warning that "Crytographical Services" needs to be started first.....So, I started that service(start/run/services.msc/cryptographical...), then after one attempt of sp1 install, I had full function of WMV encoding, (all the while) WMV encoder and WMP beta 9 were installed previously. Intersting, huh?
If you uninstall SP1......some programs that were installed after sp1 install will have to be reinstalled. A pop up window during sp1 UNinstall will list the app's that MAY not function after uninstall.
Uninstall is done using Add/Remove programs.
I'd be interested in knowing if you get WMV encoding functionality working again.

good luck
