An internet connection could not be established

Vegas Pro 14 Edit has given us an error saying "There is no licence". I have then logged in as the domain admin and reinstalled Vegas. But now when I try to activate it, it says "An online connection could not be established". I have tried disabling firewall, uninstalling antivirus, removing registry keys, all to no avail. I've sent a support ticket, but not yet received a reply.

I tried to re-download Vegas from the service center, but part of the page was throwing back a "This page might have moved" error in Chrome and a "Not signed by a valid certificate" error in IE. It worked fine on a different PC, however.
