Many time I have used my capture card to convert VHS tapes to DVD. I am now running the latest version of Vegas Movie Studio Version 4.0a(Build 48). When I now want to capture from VHS, I can not get the audio to come through. I am using a SB Live! audio card with line input. When I go to the properties screen for the card, there is a place to select Pin Line Input using a drop down box. It comes up Midi Synth. No matter what I select in this box, when I close it and reopen it, it always resets to Midi Synth. I have also noticed that the apply button in this dialog box is grayed out. This is also an Enable button in this box which I select, but it too returns to a default value of off.

I just tried selecting the mic as input and it started coming through the capture screen. I also have another software program that will play what I have running through the capture hardware and it gets both audio and video, so I feel my setup is OK. If anyone has any ideas, please help.
