Analog Video Capture Cards

Greetings,

I just upgraded my Vegas 3 to Vegas 6 w/ DVD Architect with the intention to capture some video from a VCR. Vegas sees my card (a basic Pinnacle PCTV card), but I do not see the option to select the video source (composite, s-video, etc). Unfortunately, there is no control panel for the card that lets me define this either. My first question is does Sony have a list of compatible analog video capture cards, and the second question is does Vegas 6 support analog capture cards. Thanks for the help in advance!

Your best solution is to simply use a firewire card and then use a convertor (such as the Canopus ADVC-100) or a camera or a deck to do the converting from analog to firewire(digital).

if you MUST use an analog card, use a different program. I like iuVCR. The demo is free & unrestricted (I liked it so much I bought it though)
