The online context sensitive help in Vegas seems to suggest that increasing the DC coefficient (MPEG2 encoding) is a Good Thing if your 'project contains low motion'.
The recently released manual appears to give a conflicting view when it says (page 23) ".. high motion footage.. you may want..10 bit setting" (as opposed to the default 9 bit).
It may be my interpretation that is at fault here, but would anyone care to comment?
