another PAN VEG5 Question

I know that there are some Pan differences from Veg 4 to Veg 5. However this one is driving me CRAZY:

When I keyframe a position for a still then zoom out to a certain point Veg 4 use to be smoothe the whole way. Veg 5 is smoothe then at last few moments it shifts in another gear. Can anyone tell me how I can have evenly spaced paning..I do not like the last second speed look all the time.

Perhaps setting smoothness to 0? I haven't tried it but I seem to recall that that used to do the trick in Vegas 4, but I may be way wrong of course...
