Any batch utility to convert .m2ts videos?

I have many .m2ts videos that I captured with Sony Handycam SR8E.

I want to share this with my friends who will play the videos on Windows Media Player or Apple Quicktime.

It is not productive to manually import each and every .m2ts video and render it to .mpg or .mov format. I have about 1,000 videos.

Is there any batch utility in Vegas Movie Studio that will allow me to do so?

There is in Vegas Pro (which supports scripting).
