I haven't found one yet. I have the one for Vegas 11 and it left me wanting more. I would like to see more on color grading and correction. I was disappointed in the paucity of information on the video FX. This may be tedious, but I would like each effect discussed as to when and how to use it, pros and cons of its use. Some I have no idea what I would use them for. Additional guidance would be great.
there's quite a few good tuts on youtube - but there's also some pretty awful ones too ;-(

i doubt that'll ever happen. anything other than a cut is an aesthetic choice made by the editor / director. the best understanding of the use of fx is probably gained by seeing them used in material / programs you like / admire.
I've used a couple, but I just miss a good paper manual, or even one on Kindle. I find it easier to follow along when doing stuff, rather than having to keep stopping or recueing the video.
interesting topic - i've just started with resolve and their manual is 1000+ pages. however, i think once you have a basic grasp of any software learning becomes much easier simply by use. for resolve there's some excellent tut's available for free online and they're generally neatly broken down into various categories.
my original learning curve with vegas was the manual, and then came a number of projects where i simply didn't have time for reading but found this (well the old) forum extremely helpful with every aspect of post production in general.
having taught video production at university level (as well as running a successful production facility) i found the best teaching method was simply to start working with whatever and pushing the envelope till I / my students couldn't figure something out before asking. of course, ymmv.
Having some very limited experience writing electronic manuals writing a manual about Vegas pro 14 would be like writing a manual on String Theory. The best computer manuals in heavy industry use the block-picture-arrow flows so that if you have never seen the computer before you can do anything that is required.
Thanks for all the responses I'm a Vegas user since version 4, so I know how to do most things I need just specifically would like a book type resource to expand my skills when new things come up. Spot's books were great it's a shame the newest one is nearly 7 years old
Not sure if this helps but for Vegas 12 I downloaded the Manual and then bougth the printed edition of it. If I remember, I followed this through from the Vegas menu but I'm afraid the old memory so what it used to be!
