I wonder what type/model of DVD burners the users of this forum are using to burn DVDs. What would you recommend and why.
I am about to finish my mother's day project and I would like burn it as a DVD format, instead of a VCD as I had planned earlier.
Any comments???

By the way, the HP DVD writer dvd100i is selling now for approx. $250. The new DVD200i is coming up pretty soon.

If you have only a few videos, you can send a DV tape to the following outfit and they will professionally produce the DVD for you. I have not used them, but they were reviewed by Walt Mossberg (Wall Street Journal tech writer) about six months ago and given thumbs up.

Arn't there two different DVD recordable formats out there, with one not even compatible with consumber players? I would suggest whatever you get make sure it produces something you can play on your living room set.
