Any Difference Between Camera 24p And Vegas 24p? matt24671b wrote on 12/2/2007, 2:46 PM Folks, If I record 24p directly with a videocam, or I record 30i and then convert that to 24p in vegas, is there any difference between the two? Thanks.... Back to post
Comments DJPadre wrote on 12/2/2007, 5:57 PM youre better off shooting 24p native, OR 60i... this way the pulldown service is mathematically in sync with the frame rate differential during interpolation of fields into actual frames GlennChan wrote on 12/2/2007, 6:30 PM You'd be better off with shooting 24p in the camera*. *- Some cameras shoot fake 24p (e.g. cineframe). In that case, doing it in post will give you better quality. If the camera is shooting 24f or 24p, then it will be better than trying to convert from 29.97fps interlaced to 24fps. 1
