Any future updates of VEGAS Pro about importing PSD & AI Files?

iEmby wrote on 1/31/2023, 12:09 PM

I recently created a Wedding Invitation in VEGAS pro for my client.

Firstly, I have to create an illustration for Wedding Invitation in Adobe Illustrator.

Then I had to export every single asset as PNG file.

Then I had to import those PNG files in VEGAS pro.

Then I had to place them to their locations.

After these all above steps, I had to start my animation process.

Check out what i had to do...

to create this.

I had to spend almost 2 hours for exporting PNG assets from AI and then importing & arranging & placing all assets in VEGAS Pro as per illustration.

So, my question is....

Is there any chance for VEGAS to get update with a feature to import PSD & AI files with all layers already created according to illustration layers?. Same as per After Effects does with AI files.

I know those both softwares are from One company (ADOBE) so they are connected.

Even then in any case, Can VEGAS think about these types of updates.??

I'll be honest with you...we have no plans to do this sort support. If we were to do it, it would more likely be integrated into VEGAS Effects and/or VEGAS Image.

@iEmby

Not sure exactly what you want, but Vegas can already add PSD files and add each layer to a separate track. Here's a demo.

Added: Note that you have to right-click and drag from project media to timeline in order to show the menu enabling you to add layers across tracks.
