Any success stories using V8Pro & Decklink?

Anyone successfully using V8Pro with the latest Decklink Drivers (6.6.4).
The preview window worked with the previous driver but tape i/o didn't - is this now working flawlessly????

(its so time consuming to install drivers and test functionality only to have to uninstall and go back to previous version if its still not working)

I did try it, I got transport control,. It captured something but on the T/L all I got was black frames.
I tried with CS2, worked a charm. Files seemd to open OK in V8 but the TC was fine in Ppro, messed up in V8. Got the job done thankfully. All the client wanted me to do was capture as 10bit for hime to edit in Ppro.
Will start another DB job soon so I'll have time to investigate further. I'm not certain if V8 is handling the 10bit as 10bit into 32bit. Not certain even how to test that.

Thanks Bob,
I'm quite frustrated at not being able to move on to V8, as all our work is DB related, so we need tape i/o working flawlessly. We work with a mix of XP & XP_x64, so need to wait till BMD bring out the x64 6.6.4 driver - otherwise I have one system on V7 & the other on V8 - so we lose compatibilty.
I've had contact with BlackMagic support (I do get responses!) who seem to be having a bit of a problem with getting the x64 version out - either because of coding problems or not being able to devote enough time(not sure which).
I was just trying to get myself prepared for when it does come out by checking around for other peoples experience.
FCP & Premiere seem to be regarded as more "Pro" because they both have a massive user base using the Decklink cards outputting broadcast video - can't SCS jump on this aspect and put more effort into this side of their program?!
I can't work out what SCS will be showing at NAB this year - it seems all their effort is going into the Vista/64 bit slated for end of this year.

Couldn't agree more with what you're saying here.
I stick with Vegas 7.
Over the years on both the audio and video side SoFo and then SCS have always had this 'not really our problem' mindset. They're probably right too but so what, people buy software to get work done and pay the rent. Other vendors seem to grasp this and just get on with it and reap the benefits of significant sales.
