Check your Menu Page Properties > General tab.

If the Menu length is on auto calculate, it uses the longer of the background video or audio.
If on Manual, you set it to what you want.

I'm failing to communicate the problem.
I'll try again.
I have a 2:30 project,
I render it (the project) as a looped region in Vegas.
But when I preview it in DVD-A it cuts to the menu 7 seconds before the end.
There is no way I can over ride this.
If I extend the looped region and re-render it still stops and cuts to the menu 7 seconds before the end of the project.
Why is this happening?
How can I fix it?

Have you verified that the Mpeg contains the whole segment?
In the DVDA timeline, the out point is all the way to the end?

Added a scene to Vegas project.
Then re-rendered.
Saved under same name as previous project.
In DVD-A preview, changes turned up.
BUT,---the length of project was same as before.
So,---that may be why project stopped 7 seconds short.
That would have been the length of additional material.
Anyway,---rendered and saved under a new name.
All's well.
