Anybody else think snapping too aggressive?

Maybe it's just me, but one thing I never liked about the stock Vegas process was the snapping strength--the attraction of adjacent objects was just a bit too strong for my tastes, and it served to make it difficult to make fine adjustments in some instances.

Fortunately, I discovered that one can adjust this magnetic effect by going into the special preferences and changing the "Snap Width" to a level lower than the standard 7. I much prefer 3.

It would be very desirable, in my view, to bring this adjustment out into the regular menu structure.

I kind of got used to the default but it would be nice if there were some adustments available in the options.

Yes! I'd like to turn down the snapping strength; I didn't realize it was adjustable.
Where are the "special preferences"? The only one I know about is Options/Preferences which doesn't seem to have this.

Be VERY careful when dealing with the hidden preferences as you can really mess things up if you inadvertently change something.
Hold down the SHIFT key and choose Options - Preferences.
Click on the (now visible) "Internal" tab.

You can also hit the Shift key while you are dragging and disable the snapping altogether.

In the Internal tab, scroll about 1/3 of the way down. There is an adjustment called "Snap Width (in pixels)." Default is 7, you can change the value on the left to less than 7.
