I'm glad to see an update; looking forward to some more... ehem, "significant" improvements in the future. This release has the new dark interface (I am not a fan) and is bundled with lots of new loops, etc. That was enough to get me to pay the $99 upgrade. Only new feature I have found so far of real use to me is "per event" effects.

Negatives: interface seems slower than 7, and I am seeing some crashes - not a big problem for me as I expect to be able sort those out or find workarounds.

@Kinvermark - Thanks for your input. Yeah, the loops are thar thang. 😎 Buy AP8 Loops and we’ll throw in a GUI..... Have you tried any MCU external controllers?

Can you see any integration withVP? Same as before?

No integration changes that I can see. In fact, I think they dropped support for mp4 video files. Ultimately what I want is Vegas-ACID tight interaction so I can "score on the fly" without rendering out a preview avi file to drag into ACID.

What's an MCU controller? :)

MCU : Mackie Control EmUlation. Back in the day, surface controllers were made available in Vegas and AP have/had this ability.

OK. Don't have one of those to test. Also, have you noticed the MEDIA MANAGER seems to be disabled? There is a window for it, but no functionality.

I’ve yet to get AP8, maybe you’d need to do the INTERNAL access and search for Media Manager.

Anything like VP Preferences for MM? Try this after INTERNAL.

No reference to MM in internal prefs. The default pref in general category is MM on, so I am thinking this is disabled for now... maybe they intend to implement a new version soon? (Speculation!) I could try reinstalling the old Sony MM that still works with AP7, but there is a risk that would break too.

@Kinvermark : Ugghhh.... 😟 Regarding Media Manager, it could be a 12 year glitch I was sycled with back in 2006 - SYNCFUSION.
