Anyone able to get Plextor PX-716A to work in DVDA 1.0d?

I can't get the drive to even show up in DVDA after the latest firmware update too. I am running firmware v1.4 on the Plextor.

Please help!!!

I had a similar problem with a computer not recognizing a Sony burner - even after more than one re-boots. Finally I let DVDA "prepare" not "prepare and burn" and after it had done that, the Sony was present in the burning devices list. Wierd. Then it worked flawlessly, burning 25 disks in suscession.

the 716a shows in DVDA 2.0b but doesn't burn - freezes computer.
