anyone renamed video media in VMS Project Media?

I was wondering if anyone has ever renamed video media within Project Media tab window of VMS 9.0b - there is a rename ability (right-click menu) but I can not get mine to work (and tech service seems to think it should, or is feigning stupidity)

Well, the last time i ever looked at the project media tab, which was probably over 6 years ago, i was able to rename from there just fine. I rename from the explorer tab all the time.
