I've captured several different portions of family videos taken over the last couple of years, edited them and produced them into one video (AVI) (about 1 hour). I view the AVI and it looks great!
I Print-to-tape (my setup, PC --> Dazzle Hollywood bridge --> VCR). When I view the tape some of the sections are totally black and it turns out that those that black out are on the captured takes boundaries.
For example:
Take#: Take1, Take2, Take3, Take4, Take5, etc.
Status: Fine black Fine Fine Black, etc.
1) I re-note that viewing the AVI in the standard windows viewer (XP WindowsMediaPlayer) seems really good with no drop-outs (black sections).
2) I've defragged my HD and the AVI lookes contiguous (as viewed in the XP defrag utility).
3) No other devices are attached to 1394 other then the Dazzle.
4) The green D to A light on the Dazzle stays on the entire time indicating that the Dazzle is detecting a continuous signal.
5) No Screen saver, Antivirus, etc. utilities are running in the background.
Any clues?
Thanks
-Mike
