I archived some material last year by encoding it into DIV X pro 5.02 codec format.
Today I loaded this file into Vegas and all seemed well - as its just an AVI format file. However, on playing back my finished rendered MPEG-2 (DVD) file, I noticed the video blank out every few mins for about 0.5 secs up to about 4 secs - all seemingly random. Anyone else get this - is there a fix?
I am currently using Premiere to do the same thing and its got 6 hours to go but initial results seem to show the problem is not cropping up in Premiere.... time will tell..
