It's a good tool, if you want canned music that you set the length to. The audio quality is superb, the libraries are good. It's basically a stock music library that has flexibility. ACID is definitely a better tool for anyone looking for more flexibility, but Sonic Fire Pro is a good tool if you don't feel like being musically creative, or if you can't hear the difference between a tuba and a guitar. (meaning you are tone-deaf and less than totally non-musically inclined) Even non-musicians do pretty well with ACID. On the other hand, Sonic Fire Pro assures super quality songs with no stress, and no need for creativity. It's all broken down for you, guaranteed to sound great or your money back.

I use it with Vegas all the time. It's a great product for those of us who are not musicians.

I use it too and it's great.

I *was* a musician (1980 Florida All-State, Drum Corps Int'l, etc.), but I'm tired now... :)

Great tool!

Sounds like what I need, only difference to me between a tuba and a bass guitar is ease of transport. Oh and I've seen some pretty hot ladies playing bass but never a tuba

I'm very satisfied with SmartSound music, having used it for several years because it's very fast and because I'm tonally challenged (one of my ears drops 60 decibels above 1KHz, which is why I played the bass viol in high school!).

Unfortunately, they don't have a plug-in for Vegas. They do for MANY of the competitors. I email the company and found they said: "not YET". Hopefully that means they WILL.

Perhaps if more enquiries are made, they will act upon it faster. Or maybe with SONY's involvment with Vegas now, it will provide even more reason to add Vegas as a plug-in.

Don't expect it. I't s a direct compete with ACID. In fact, they once got into some hot water for misusing the ACiD name in asking people to "Drop Acid."
