Have only used their 8x -R inkjet printables which I have found to be pretty good, but not as reliable as the cheaper Ritek/Ridata 8x -Rs.

A DVD dup facility told me Verbatim doesn't make their own so actual manufacturer may vary from batch to batch.

Not one hicup, I have had very good results with these. Looks like a good buy also.

Maybe I got a bad batch, or am doing something wrong when buring but I have had bad luck with these exact dvd's. I bought them from Newegg about a month ago. I have burned 5 discs and each one of them has given me trouble.

I have 2 stand alone dvd players, in one of them, a cheap Cyberhome model, these discs play fine. In my other dvd player, a cheap Apex model, these dvd's aren't recognized. Normally the Apex will play anything. I have experienced the same result taking the dvd's over to a friends house to test. Out of about 5 different make DVD players I tried, only the Cyberhome would play these Verbatim's

The previous batch of printable dvd's I purchased were memorex, I got from a local Staples. I had no problems with them. I used them for a video yearbook for my son's kindergarten class, gave away 20 copies, one to each parent, and didn't get a single complaint that they wouldn't play.

I found these while looking for an Epson R200. NE is giving these away when you buy the printer (50 pk) which made me wonder if they were decent.

The "DataLife Plus" discs are indeed made by Verbatim and they are very good. The "Sam's Club" variety of Verbatim discs are made by several manufacturers to Verbatim specs, however, they may not be of the same high quality as the "DataLife Plus" discs.
