have a masterlink by alesis, and my mastering engineer has one so I mean to bring him stuff on masterlink's cd24 format
playing out of the pc and recording onto masterlink using spdif is "ok" but Id like to do it the other way
alesis has a utility at http://alesis.com/downloads/software/ml9600/index.html
the cd24 iso builder
ok, so I had some wav files, and converted them to *.aiff using wavelab
when I try to load these into iso builder, it says file format not supported, even though they say *.aif
so, I load the wav's into sound forge 6 and convert them to *.aif
this time the iso builder accepts them and makes a iso
so far so good, and as they say " so what "
I open ahead nero and choose " burn image" and pick the iso
nero burns it and I stick it in the masterlink to test it
master link correctly identifies it as a 24 bit 48 k cd24
when it goes to play, HHHHIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS nothing but o dBFS on the meters and white noise or something
what gives ?
