Anyone using the Radeon 5770?

Anyone using the Radeon HD 5770 with Vegas 9? Or other suggestions? I want to run 3 monitors - two for the Vegas interface and one for an HDTV for viewing the video. I'm in the final stages of deciding on a new HD editing system based on the i7-930 and ASUS P6X58D Premium motherboard. I've been using Vegas for about 5 years now for all kinds of broadcast projects, love it.

Thanks!
Cal

the specs say three independent outputs, so I'm assuming it would work.

hey cal,

let us know how you go with it. i'm basically a nvidia man, but if the 5770 works, i might just give it a whirl....

Not an answer to your question - but there are some rumors about the BlackMagic Intensity card and SCS testing it for previewing -

Thank you for your responses. Since nobody seems to have much experience with the 5770, instead I'm leaning toward using the Nvidia Quadro FX-580 for the two desktop monitors, plus the BlackMagic Design Intensity Pro for the HDMI video monitor. From reading the forum, these two cards seem to work well with Vegas for other folks. It will cost about $200 more than using the 5770 by itself, but in the absence of any advice from other users of the 5770 with Vegas, I'll probably stick with the tried and true..

$200 seems worth it to me if you can return it if you don't like it. IE if you can return it within 30 days with a 20% restocking fee, that's a $40 fee. So if you return it you spend $40 more then if you went with the nvidia+blackmagic. If you don't you save $200.
