You mentioned "or use pacifist" to do the install. Does pacifict have a different install scenario? Or do you use pacifist to edit the xcode.app as well? Thanks for the tip.
sync2rthythm, just put the "OT:" in the header, then "no problems" ;-) I sure the posting added some info for someone. But arguing about it directly connecting to vegas users just opens the question about forum rules, where you lose that argument. This forum is fairly open, they endure my tech posting, with the "OT:" , they endure some FCP in "OT:" ;-) Just keep posting your advice and questions, Sync2rthythm. ;-)
"Pacifist isa shareware app that let's you extract any files from of an OS X install package (.pkg, .dmg, etc.). No xcode stuff needed for this." Coursedesign, have you tried this yourself? ;-) I wondering that XCODE for PPC was needed for proper code generation?
Thanks Coursedesign. There's a few old macs out there. I was thinking that the new FCP had to be recompiled and linked for PPC execution.
So Apple still compiling code for PPC, this is good. A few individuals think Apples purchase of a PPC ic manufacturer means the Apple will, in the near future, produce and use their own PPC upgrade ic for mobile and mid range products. IBM's power 7 would be a KA addition but Apple would have to sale itself to IBM better than its last try.
No, except for avc intra the code was still in Universal Binary (PPC & Intel code).
One simple feature in FCP7 would be nice to steal for Vegas: iChat Theater (using online chat to do a project review with remote people over the internet, with no rendering needed.
