Apply Clip Edits

If this has been covered, I apologize but didn't find the answer I needed/wanted from my searches....

I am switching from Adobe to Vegas. So far everything has been great and I have really enjoyed Vegas. I have completely deleted my Adobe Premiere. But there is one thing I haven't been able to do, or figure out how to do, that I would like. Once you place a clip on the timelime...double click it to open it in trimmer and adjust your in and out points by a few frames.....how do you apply those changes back to the timeline? In Adobe you just hit the apply button. In Vegas I seem to be missing that step. All I have been able to do is delete the orginal clip from the timeline and add the trimmed clip back. It works but it seems there should be someway to adjust and apply changes.

Thanks in advance.

In Vegas you adjust and apply the changes on the timeline. Make sure you have Auto Ripple enabled. Also, look up "trim event" in the help menu.

Many Vegas users don't even use the trimmer.
It very easy to work on your media directly in the timeline. For instance to trim an event by a few frames use the 7 and 9 keys on the numeric keypad, then trim with the 1 and 3 keys.

Its pretty esay just to click and drag the in and out points as well. If you increase trhe height of the video track, it's easy to see exaclty what you are trimming right on the media itself without even having to refer to the preview window or monitor.
