Apply Video FX to multiple clips at once?

I have a series of clips which were shot in a "very dark" room. I will be using Color Curves to correct the lighting.

Q: Is there a way to apply and control the Color Curves effect to all clips at once? Right now I can only apply it to one clip at a time.

There's a Track FX button two over from the right of the track title. This allows you to do an effect for every clip in the track.

Most excellent. Thanks, that will come in handy. However, in my case, the first several clips of my video are not going to receive this particular effect - I only need to apply it to the clips in the second half of the track. For now, I've done the effect manually to all of the clips - but is there a way to apply a video effect to multiple clips at once - but not the entire track?

Is it possible to move those clips to their own track, separate from the rest of the video? Do you have an extra track left you could use for that?

Another option maybe (it's available in the full vegas, but i don't know about the studio version) is to select the clip you've applied the effect to and copy. You can then right-mouse-button click on the next clip and choose "paste event attributes". This applies whatever effects, cropping, etc. to the next clip exactly the same as for the first. You can selecte as many clips as you wish and paste attributes to all of them at once.
