Archiving files to bluray as data

I have several different video cameras that record in different HD codecs. (avchd, .tod, etc) To avoid compressing the original HD files, I am currently archiving old projects to bluray using the windows 7 utility. I would prefer to do it with DVD architect 6.0. Is it possible to archive the original camera files to bluray disc as a data disk and not as a playable disk?

Yes, exactly the same as with DVD.

I suggest you use the free Imgburn to burn your data files to optical disc. (You can do many other operations as well - very handy tool to have on hand.)

You might also consider copying your video files to a USB hard disk instead (or as well). It is likely to be cheaper, but you should always have a second (backup) copy on another physical disk in case disaster strikes.

Your post as the OP of this thread doesn't make sense. Your archiving video files as data means you should be taking the camera files direct to disc. be they M2T or AVCHD or ? - You need to burn them as a bunch of files with ImgBurn or Nero.

DVDAPro does not enter the equation unless you are interested in archiving DVDAPro projects.

DO NOT Process any video file with DVDAPro6.0 as it produces a noticeable and debilitating color shift to your output. IT IS DEFECTIVE.

Revert to 5.0B or 5.2 DVDAPro for processsing and authoring.

Thanks Peter. I'll try the Imgburn software or get Nero.
