Archiving with MS3

Is there a function available in MS3 that allows the user to "archive" a project say to DVD, CD or tape? In other words...take all of the media...all of the project info and timeline info and store it somewhere...so say...6 months from now...I can come back and "restore" that project and have all of the original settings, timeline, etc.

No, there isn't. However, what most of us usually try to do is keep all the material for a project in one folder dedicated to that project. You can then burn that entire folder to a data DVD, or several, depending on how large the project is.

You can make Chienworks suggests (keeping everything in a single folder) easier by checking the box "Copy all media with project" (located on the "Save Project As dialog box).... MS will then place a copy of all the media in the same folder as the project file. The added advantage here is that you can make changes to individual media files without affecting what might be your "master copy" located elsewhere on your drive.
