A lot happens behind the doors of our offices in Madison. We want to take a moment to introduce our colleagues in Madison who are responsible for development behind VEGAS Creative Software and give them a tip of the hat for their work. Meet our VEGAS team here!
why can't they write such stuff here - i mean what's the f'king point of having a 'news' section if you don't put news in it!!!
not interested in facebook, and magix should realise that many professionals don't have the time or inclination for social media, especially to keep up with supposed developments with their software.
pretty sad really.
btw - i haven't bothered looking at facebook to read exactly what noises there are going on there.
I am surprised to see that MAGIX is planning on entering the Chinese market. Most software producers have bad experiences with piracy in that country and don't feel it's worth the expenses involved. It'll be interesting to see if things have changed in that respect and I wonder if MAGIX will keep us informed.

I never bother with FB anymore because its just an advertising platform now. It's hopeless for networking because once you friend a fellow 'pro' or a company they rely on you to follow their timeline and only ever send mass invites so it's completely impersonal communication. It's ironic that FB, twitter and other social networks have created such an empty, impersonal culture. I suppose the aim of these sites is to waste all our time checking them for updates so they can profit from advertising and data collection.

While others have similar feelings about FB, mine is quite different; I escalate notifications on things I care most about, and use it very effectively to communicate with peers in the industries I serve. It also keeps me connected with events and happenings in various industries. In contrast, I've had very very little successes from LinkedIn (although friends of mine have had very positive experiences there).
