Article on editing

Of all the places, Australian Personal Computer (aka APC), August 06.
Interestingly the first point is "Emotion, then story".
The other word I've never heard used before in editing is "suture".

If you've read In The Blink Of An Eye then don't bother too much with this as it's basically a very condensed summary of what Walter Murch has to say.

The problem with reading something that is "condensed" is that the nuances that Walter makes in BOAE make for the whole experience. I'm now on my 4th re-read of this slim book. Slim as in few pages. Other than that it is a full rich high-calorie creative "La Grande bouffe".

I'd advise others to go to the full well of experience, and get, borrow or . . well, you get the picture?
