As of today :

£25million from us public THE ordinaries . . And this in just 2 days.

£15 million from govt . . .. this was the agreed amount. NOW UK Govnt has upped that to £50mil . .. more than trippling donation aid.

WE can all make a diffrence . .

Anyone who was thinking of coming to Thailand before the tsunami struck, PLEASE still come. 95% of Phuket is completely normal and it's still possible to have a wonderful holiday here. The tsunami came at the worst possible time at the start of peak season. Many businesses are going to go bust and people go hungry not directly because of damage but because tourists stay away. Cancellations really are a double-whammy. Take a look at these 3 links if you don't believe what a beautiful place Phuket still is:
