I have an mpg file that was converted from mp4 to mpg. When I import the mpg file into VMS10, the aspect ratio seems to get changed, i.e., the picture gets squeezed horizontally and makes everyone look tall and skinny.
Is there any way to get the mpg file to display in VMS at the same aspect ratio that it uses in Windows Media Player?
I've no experience with MS10, only MS12 and later, where you can go into the files properties and under the Media tab go to Pixel Aspect Ratio and use the drop down box to select the correct PAR. I don't know if MS10 has this facility.
I think I found the trick. I went to "Event Pan/Crop", selected "Maintain Aspect Ratio" and clicked "No". That stretched the image out to where people no longer looked tall and skinny using the "NTSC DV Widescreen' template.
