There's no bus assigned to preview fader.

What does this mean?

"point A with the mouse pointer"

Regardless, I am not able to repro, but I am not really clear on what you are doing. Step by step would help.

Also, what Pipeline asked is for you to expose your preview bus in the mixer. Of course there is no bus routed to the preview, as we don't allow this.

What version of Vegas are you running? (4.0, 4.0a, 4.0b, etc)

Vegas 4.0.

I assigned track 1 to Bus A but when I check the assigment it shows Preview.
Track 3 which I assigned to Bus C in fact seems to be assigned to Bus A. And so forth.

I am just not reproducing this problem. Could you email me a project file (veg file) that shows this problem? Don't need the media, just the veg file.

Have you recently changed the sound card driver within the Vegas Preferences? I have had something similar in the past, but not quite what you're seeing. If I start a project using the Classic Wave driver or Windows Mapper, and then switch to the ASIO driver, my output assignments on my buses will get reversed using my dual Gina card setup.
