Associated Event Audio not Grouped with Video?

Using Vegas 4e

Unless specifically ungrouped audio/video events inserted in the timeline should be editable as one. When I add an event with audio and video to the timeline the audio and video parts of the event will move together, but if I try to delete an event only the first selected part, either the audio or the video is selected and removed. To remove the whole event I must select both audio and video seperatly using the Shift key. This is true for all events with associated audio and my ungrouping button is NOT selected.

Any thoughts?

This is default behavior. In Vegas 5.0 you can redefine the keyboard to delete both events or you can set a new key combo to do this. In any case, it's easy to get used to and a pretty minor issue. There are much bigger fish to fry.
