Attempted to read or write protected memory" error

For the most part, everything is running smoothly. I have the latest update of Vegas and am running 64 bit in Windows 7 compatibility mode. No crashes at all until I try to render:

At this point, twice today I got the following error message:

Non UI Thread - Unhandled ExceptionSystem.AccessViolationException:Attempted
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an idication that other memory is corrupt.

Anyone have any idea of what this is or how to fix it?

I presume you were able to render under full w7 mode. I think I would switch vegas back to full w7 and try again.
I switched to vista 64 sp3 by locating vegas110.exe and changing mode there. There is also an option to run with admin rights.
