I've noticed there's a bug in this forum's ability to display code blocks. An html "titile" tag should display as "less than sign", "title", "greater than sign". The forum seems to substitute square brackets for the "less than" & "greater than". It also seems to put a closing "title" tag where a closing "h2" tag should be.

See: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=689324&Replies=4 and scroll down to the code block for an example.

This is not a "huge deal", but if someone does a cut-and-paste on the code block, it will not work.

Thanks for your consideration,
....Jerry

how strange, it's converting the "[/title]" to a "[/title]"!

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "

Even with the straight copy/paste. Good find! :D

Yeah, the really strange thing is how the line "JWPlayer Test</h2>" is being converted to "JWPlayer Test[/title]"

PS: I thought I could cheat and use the ampersand equivalents of ascii symbols - and it only partially worked.

Oh, I didn't know we could call up our own players or run JS.

I should have thought of this earlier. The best way to show this problem is via image:

Is there any guidance/FAQ for how to format text, post code etc. In other forums I've visited there are controls for formatting text but they seem to be absent from this forum. Is it just a question of writing html tags?

Thanks,

Kit

the [ code ] commands are supposed to post exactly what's inside them, no changes at all.

Send this as a support request. That will get more attention then a forum post.

It's similar to writing html tags. The instuctions are in the third sticky post from the top in this forum:

Edit: Nope, I guess it hasn't been fixed.
