Attn: SONY - Audio FX default preset chain

Avanti wrote on 4/17/2006, 8:41 AM
The audio fx chain presets which I became familiar with in previous versions of Vegas are gone. All audio tracks have no fx chains.
The three familiar ones are: “Track noise gate”; “Track EQ”; and “Track Compressor”.
I deleted Vegas 5 after getting Vegas 6 up and running.
I’ve reinstalled Vegas 6.0d, and no change.

My list of available fx’s in “Plug-in-chooser” doesn’t even have “Track compressor”; the closest thing to it is “Wave hammer surround”, but the interface is totally different from the “Track compressor”.

Try right-mouse-clicking on an audio track header, choose Set Default Track Properties. In that window check Track FX and Restore original defaults. Click OK. It might work.

Chienworks,

That sure sounded like it was going to work, but no-joy. Still nothing.

Is there a way to save and transfer my Media manager set-up so I don’t loose all the work I put into it?

Thanks.

Copy the files contained in:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\Sony Media Libraries

...that will preserve the Media Manager library.

Thanks kentwolf.

SONY, I still need a solution on the audio fx. I sent you a report request from this support site two days ago. thanks.

I can't help you out with your problem but I can say that the last time I sent in a support request, it was almost a week before I heard back from Sony. Subsequent emails to fix the issue were much faster.
