I would like to just capture the channel number 1 with the entrance fireWire. How do I make that? and

When importing a recorded audio of the sound forge to synchronize with a video in the format DV I observe that the audio of the video with the one of the CD doesn't synchronize, the sound in the end of the video is more late. (the sound in the end of the video i lives late. )

I would think that to isolate one channel of the stereo pair coming in through firewire, you'd have to open the file in soundforge and split the tracks that way.

not sure I understand the second question, but I have used vegas to synchronise two lots of audio from different sources; this worked with two minidisc recordings that I copied to cd. by the end of an hour, they were maybe a second or so apart, and I could fix this by fine-tuning the pitch of one track (right-click on the track for this menu). you'll need to find easily identifiable sync points.
