Audio but no video when opening .mov file

First time I've struck this . . . I have a bunch of .mov files that play great in a Quicktime player, but when I open it them Vegas all I get is the audio track, no video.

Can anyone give me a pointer on how to resolve this?

This may be the same thing that happens with the QT MOV files from the GO-HD camera; MPEG4 compression on the video with no header information on the bitrate of the audio. It is easy to work around. Try my method for dealing with the GO_HD files. An explanation is at :
