audio CD track regions are snapping!

I can't get the cd track markers to stop snapping. i've turned snapping on and off, and back on, and back off, but I still can't drop CD track markers where I want them to go. This wasn't a problem with VV3 until I installed V4, now both versions do it. What's going on?

Turn off quantize to frames- it sounds like you have that enabled (the default).

Tried that... it seems like no matter what settings I try, I can't get the marker to drop where i want it to go. BTW, thanks for your prompt response

I've burned cd's from vegas 4b without this happening- are you zooming in far enough? have you disabled all the snapping? how are you dropping the markers in, on-the-fly during playback or parked-up?
